I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Counseling Supervisor, with a Master's degree in Marriage and Family therapy. I believe in the power of hope. I have been seeing clients for over 8 years in many different situations. I have a person centered and systemic approach, meaning that every part of a person's system from family to job, school, community, is an important part of understanding underlying issues and concerns. When we understand how we came to feel or think about things, we can work to adapt thoughts feelings and thoughts in ways that serve us more productively.

Sandra is a licensed therapist and a Christian Counselor practicing in Northern Colorado (centrally located in the Loveland, Fort Collins, and Windsor area) and CA (Telehealth only). She has been practicing psychotherapy since 2004. She holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Social Work Degrees with high honors from the University of Southern California. Sandra is a licensed clinical social worker in the states of California and Colorado. Her commitment to the field extends to education, as she has served as an adjunct professor at Colorado State University, School of Social Work, Master of Social Work Program.

Being a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) means that I incorporate many facets of your life into therapy. Often people think that MFTs only work with couples and families, while we do often work a lot with these clients, we also work with individuals and bring our systemic approach to therapy with them as well. Personally, it just makes sense to me to take into account all of the different systems you are connected to as I work to help you be where you want to be. I will work collaboratively with you and bring more than a decade of experience as a therapist into our sessions.

I work with individuals, couples, families, and groups around psychosocial and medical health issues. I am a Colorado and Washington State Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor in the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. The psychosocial conditions I provide treatment for include: addictions/compulsions, anxiety and depression, abuse and trauma, marriage/relationship issues, health and wellness, spirituality/faith issues, identity development issues, and sexuality. I believe a biopsychosocial-spiritual approach to health is the most comprehensive method of treatment.

With warmth, humor, and honesty, I strive to create a time and place where you can feel supported in navigating the tough moments of life. As I’ve done this work over the last 15+ years I’ve learned that we -can- find joy and meaning, including in the hard things we pull away from. Relationships and emotions can feel confusing, scary, or painful. Charles Nix approaches counseling in a way where he works to understand the whole of the person and/or relationship. Charles's specialties are marriage/relationship problems, divorce recovery, men's work, teenagers and men in their 20's, 30's,40's, anxiety, depression, and helping people understand who they really are and what they want. There is almost an endless amount of experiences, interactions, and beliefs that make up who we are. Charles works very well with just about anybody, and especially those who feel lost, unheard, unimportant, no passion or desire, and a lack of purpose and meaning.

As a psychologist, I assist clients in working through many difficult life events, mental health disorders, and general day to day struggles. I primarily focus on adults and adolescents with a variety of concerns including adjustment issues, depression and anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, OCD, gender/sexuality issues, and couples/marital issues. I am experienced and trained in several specific psychological modalities including CBT, DBT, interpersonal process therapy, psychodynamic therapy, psychodramatic techniques, and EMDR. My clients enjoy my sense of humor, authenticity, and passion for my work.

Erin received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from University of Northern Colorado and an MA in Counseling from Colorado Christian University. Before starting her own practice, she spent 8.5 years at a Christian non-profit counseling center serving a variety of populations. She also spent four years serving in a variety of leadership roles in the organization and supervising clinicians in the process of completing their licensing hours. Before joining that group practice, Erin interned at Medical Center of the Rockies, which grew her heart for healing trauma and working with medical professionals and first responders.
