I am a relationship therapist. Whether you are working on your relationship with yourself, your romantic partner or your friends and family, we will work to identify and gain insight into your patterns and work for you to connect authentically and deeply with those you love. My specialties include: new relationships and preventative couples therapy, secular pre-marital counseling, relationship decision-making, relational perfectionism and undoing longterm patterns.
I use Emotionally Focused Therapy to deepen connection while also building communication skills with the Gottman method. My approach is based in a family systems and attachment-focused lens to provide context and a foundation for building a more secure attachment style, fostering healthy coping skills and creating an intentional path forward.
If you are interested in working together, let's start the process with a 20-minute consultation call where I will describe my practice and how I work, and you can tell me a little about what is bringing you to therapy.

A typical course of couple therapy involves setting goals, mapping out your typical fights, and uncovering what is underneath your conflict (emotions, meaning, fears, triggers) so you can build empathy for your partner and awareness for yourself that build into new conversations and understanding. Then, we build connection and friendship, deepen intimacy and strengthen your sense of self.

My style of individual therapy is very active: I am not sitting back letting you talk for an hour and come to your own conclusions. Instead, I think of therapy as us co-creating a healthy narrative that honors your past experiences, patterns, needs and desired future. I am not afraid to confront and challenge you, but I always do it collaboratively, knowing you are the expert on yourself.
