I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and co-occurring disorders, sex addiction, substance abuse, gambling addiction, and relapse prevention. I take clients from ages 12 to 90, both male and female. I am EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) trained and CMR (Comprehensive Resource Modeling) for trauma, grief, and inner child work; and all forms of relapse prevention and recovery. I am certified in trauma, sexual addiction, drug and alcohol addiction. I am located in Tennesse and California.

If requested by the client, Jim can incorporate Music Assisted Psychotherapy (MAP) with a variety of interventions designed to get results quickly. I am a Christian therapist who specializes in healing relationships. I am certified in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy which has helped children and adults overcome the results of PTSD and abuse. I have over 25 years experience in law enforcement and a passion for police and military families. I created Encouragers Counseling & Training Centers, Inc. (501(c)(3) Non-Profit to offer affordable counseling options to many who do not have financial means for getting help. We have offices in Murrieta & Corona. I also have a Professional Practice named Encouragers Family Counseling who takes Kaiser, Medi-Cal and IEHP.

I am still accepting new clients and am offering phone and video sessions via Simple Practice for clients who are distancing or quarantined. I have 23 years of experience treating children, teens and families with variety of mental health difficulties such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, bullying, anger difficulties, trauma such as domestic violence, and various other difficulties. I have also helped parents cultivate better relationships with their children and teens, as well as helped adults get "unstuck" in their lives.
