During our first meeting, I explain the results of the screenings, gather history, and form treatment goals to address the issues presented. This helps define the problem(s). A problem defined is a problem half solved! CBT is very goal-oriented and active. I recommend homework assignments between sessions. I give and welcome a lot of feedback. Some of this feedback may involve additional screenings to see if mood and/or anxiety symptoms are improving.
