Welcome to Ron Ashley Counseling Services I provide services for families experiencing complexities including; family counseling, mental health issues, parenting issues, substance and alcohol abuse, court mediations, seminars and workshops and EAP services. I provide these services through a comprehensive culturally competent system of care, including community-based support services comprised of partnerships among the Mental Health Services and other agencies with the understanding that families are entitled to dignified and meaningful lives.

My background is unique and varied which provides a broad range of knowledge, and experiences from having served in the U.S. Army, worked in Law Enforcement for over twenty-five years, worked on a church staff and as Therapist. I find it rewarding to help individuals realize their potential, see hope in a better future and becoming their best selves in life. We should not be defined by the negative beliefs we hold about ourselves but in the positive changes we can make. I have worked with individuals, couples, families, groups, adults, and adolescents.

Things like intrusive thoughts of fear, jealously, inferiority, anger, mistrust, unforgiveness, and guilt rob us of our confidence and sense of wellbeing. Obsessive behavior or feelings of anxiety or depression can prevent or erode relationships that add so much to our lives. Healthy work relationships, marriage, and family relationships are all negatively or positively impacted by our perception. Our behavior will not change until our thinking changes. There is hope for all! After being a teacher in public schools for 14 years and a director of a faith-based non-profit that helped troubled teens and parents, for 2 years, I decided to go back to school to become a licensed therapist. I enjoy "walking" beside of people who are hurting and struggling with stress, anxiety, trauma, relationships and/or depression. I work with adults, young adults, teens, and couples. I am a wife, mother, and grandmother trying to love others right where they are.

Sometimes we all need support when life's challenges become overwhelming or difficult to manage alone. My name is Sydney, and I am an Associate Licensed Counselor working under clinical supervision of Ashley Bindl-Berrios, LPC-S. I work with individuals experiencing an array of difficulties such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and have a passion for working with this community.

We are an Alabama group practice with LMFTs, LPCs, and interns. We exclusively see clients using secure Telehealth therapy for your convenience, and do not have a physical location. Licensed therapists (Cindy, Sam, and Alicia) take BCBS of Alabama insurance. Interns see clients at a $25 rate per session. Cindy is a certified Sex Therapist, and Alicia is licensed to supervise MFT-I's, MFT-As and MFT-Is. Alicia is an EMDRIA approved EMDR trained therapist.
