Derrick is a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience providing services to adolescents and adults. He believes that everyone has potential to recover and heal from whatever they've been through as long as they're willing to put in the work and trust in God. He wholeheartedly believes that there is nothing you've been through that you cannot overcome. By using a myriad of psychological strategies and concepts Derrick has helped many people recover, heal, and thrive. In addition to providing therapy, he has taught psychological courses and facilitated couples and men's conferences.

Knowing that a client-centered approach where a warm non-judgmental atmosphere creates the best climate for truly exploring oneself, Jolei is committed to offering you a safe space to do just that. Working with individuals from ages six through adulthood, families and couples, she pulls from years of experience dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, family of origin issues, addiction, relationship issues, grief, life transitions and self-esteem.

IMPACT has several counselors and therapists on staff with training, background, and experience in most areas of counseling. IMPACT provides counseling solutions to people who are seeking to make changes in their life. I began human service work in 1986 after receiving my Bachelor of Science degree in Counseling from the University of Montevallo, located in Montevallo, Alabama. I received my Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Montevallo in 1994. I became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2001. I am currently licensed in Alabama and Georgia (inactive at present in Georgia), and am a board certified supervisor for those wishing to become licensed counselors. I focus on the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, so that my patient can change a negative pattern of thought that prevents joy. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is also utilized in therapy.
