I am the owner of a small group practice dedicated to providing you with a network of licensed clinicians to assist you on your journey of emotional wellness.

Let's face it, LIFE in and of itself can be challenging and stressful. My goal here at Elevate M.E. Counseling is to assist clients with embodying self-awareness, and achieving a higher level of emotional and mental standards while reflecting on their past, current, and future opportunities. Clients will be guided to implement these tools to overcome past obstacles and potential barriers to moving forward. The ultimate goal is for clients to envision the transition of previous challenges upon entering therapy, to opportunities that will provide elevation towards their future goals and self. Resulting in self-fulfillment.

Susan W. Ratliff LPC Susan is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Athens University in Behavioral Science, and a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from A&M University. Susan has been in practice in North Alabama for the past 25 years, with experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings. She has served a variety of populations, and has led individual, group, marital, and family therapy sessions. She currently works with children, adolescents and adults in therapy. Susan’s main passion in work is to improve individuals, and families lives by assisting in their development.

Everyone has felt the pain of betrayal, guilt, shame, rejection, and discouragement. Life and family interactions present challenges. You and your family are unique; but the issues and challenges you face are shared by others. We're human. We need to feel loved and supported. We need to enjoy life! But sometimes, life gets in the way. I am here to help you and your family successfully manage and overcome life's challenges and seize life's opportunities. I believe that hope for the future, healing from the past and the ability to enjoy everyday life is possible and occurs in the context of healthy relationships.

Are you tired of feeling guilty and responsible for other adult's feeling and problems? Do you use alcohol or drugs to numb emotional pain? Or, are you having problems with relationships in the family, at work, or with friends? Do you feel stuck or helpless, have trouble making a decision? If you are tired of feeling sick and tired or you are feeling physical pain, I can help with all of the above. It is particularly important to me to assist in setting goals and giving practical tools for them to achieve their goals.

We are an Alabama group practice with LMFTs, LPCs, and interns. We exclusively see clients using secure Telehealth therapy for your convenience, and do not have a physical location. Licensed therapists (Cindy, Sam, and Alicia) take BCBS of Alabama insurance. Interns see clients at a $25 rate per session. Cindy is a certified Sex Therapist, and Alicia is licensed to supervise MFT-I's, MFT-As and MFT-Is. Alicia is an EMDRIA approved EMDR trained therapist.

Mrs. Johnson-Hill is committed to supporting individuals and families through a comprehensive approach. She strongly believes that, with the appropriate resources, everyone can achieve their fullest potential and is dedicated to ensuring they receive the utmost quality of service to make that possible. Her focus is on promoting the well-being of individuals, families, and the broader community by providing education, intervention, effective treatment, and prevention.

With an extensive background in child welfare, counseling, consultation, life coaching, and the observance of resources needed for underprivileged families and services for behaviorally challenged youth, I founded Love Out Loud Counseling and Consulting Services. We have several therapists awaiting to help you! We are licensed in the states of Alabama, Mississippi, Texas, and Florida.

I am committed to helping individuals facing adversity find peace and reach their therapeutic goals within their unique contexts. My work focuses on providing accessible counseling services that draw from various therapeutic modalities, with a special interest in working with neurodiverse individuals and the queer community. I believe in helping clients navigate their emotional and psychological challenges in a client-centered and validating manner, regardless of their background. I see myself as a guide, not a teacher, recognizing that clients are the experts in their own lived experiences.
