Hello, my name is Steven Cohn. Since the onset of Covid 19 I am currently conducting all of my couples sessions via teleconferencing. I meet with couples who live anywhere in Oregon, including Bend, Eugene, and Ashland. My clients are reporting that our online sessions feel just as meaningful and productive as our in-office sessions. You may have found yourself leaving a session of traditional talk therapy only to feel triggered all over again, wondering what is wrong with you, why can’t you “Just get over it?!” Well, the good news is that it’s not you, it’s your brain. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy has helped many people reprocess “stuck” material so the brain and body can realize the event is over. Research shows that one of the quickest and most effective ways to overcome our struggles and reduce/eliminate distressing symptoms is through EMDR Intensive Therapy. Intensives are typically 1 to 5 days consecutively.

I support people to balance their nervous system by contextualizing their experience within the Polyvagal theory. I work with attachment wounding to rewire the neural circuitry of the brain and utilize somatic experience to create an internal sense of safety.
