I work with substance abuse and recovery, marriage and family, relationship issues, domestic violence recovery, trauma, abuse, recovery through movement, exercise, sports and activity and identity concerns. I have been a Marriage and Family Therapist in private practive for more than 32 years and have extensive experience with all types of relationship and personal issues. My client load primarily consists of individuals and couples who wish to improve themselves and their relationships. A graduate of the University of Southern California, I became involved in trauma and play therapy while at UCLA's Department of Pediatrics. Transitioning to private practice in 2003, I continue to work with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder as an EMDR Certified Therapist, I serve adults, children and adolescents with Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Eating Disorders, and ADD/ADHD, as well as individuals and families with grief and loss, stage of life/adjustment, behavioral, attachment, domestic violence and other abuse issues.

I understand the apprehension in seeking therapy and counseling. I also understand the importance of obtaining therapy in a safe and non-judgmental environment. There are times when we all face a need to seek counsel and professional therapy with someone who is able to relate to your struggles. My clients are provided a safe and understanding environment; an environment where we are able to focus on "solutions". My experience includes working with children, teens and adolescents in the schools environment and in my private practice; teaching them positive coping skills to address anger management issues.

My experience is in community mental health and private practice with clients experiencing a range of challenges with life, relational issues and victims of crimes since 2013. Also, I collaborate with DCFS when applicable. I meet clients "where they are in their journey" and serve as a support for individuals progressing through their unique process of self-discovery and realization. I am a Christian therapist who works mostly with couples issues, adolescents and individual growth. I strive to give tools to deal with conflict, communication, parenting and anger. I started my practice dealing with children, but now most of my work is helping adolescents and adults with all kinds of relational issues. I have been married thirty two years and have five children ages twenty-three to thirteen .

I have also helped parents cultivate better relationships with their children and teens, as well as helped adults get "unstuck" in their lives.
