Hishara is a licensed Marriage and Family therapist who works with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples from diverse cultures. She uses a holistic, client-centered, cultural-oriented and strength-based perspective in her work. Hishara will also engage in animal assisted therapy with her "official" side-kick Lava, when it is therapeutically appropriate. She treats a wide range of individual and relational issues, meets people where they're at in their journey towards healing and works within their reality to help them recognize and build on their own strengths to face and overcome challenges.

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to help others. Active listening, being empathetic, and showing compassion for others during tough times has always come naturally to me. I strive to bring these natural strengths, as well as the tools I have learned throughout my time as a student, to give the best possible care to each of my clients/families/couples. I believe that a client should be able to leave each therapy session with a greater understanding and self-awareness of how they can navigate through their lives.

Duane counsels people of all ages utilizing a variety of evidence-based techniques. His passion is helping people be the best version of themselves. He does this by accepting clients for who they are and ensuring they maintain their autonomy. He is interested in helping people develop self-esteem, confidence, and satisfaction in their lives. In addition, he is skilled at drawing on each person’s resourcefulness. He helps clients connect with their loved ones and unite together to solve problems. With couples and families, Duane identifies core strengths in the relationship(s) and brings clarity to ineffective communication patterns

My focus is enhancing connection while promoting healing through integrating EMDR, yoga, play, and mind-body practices. These types of interventions are proven to regulate the nervous system while supporting healthy neurological functioning and development. My passion is to support and guide individuals in repairing emotional injuries while enhancing healthy and rewarding relationships.

I believe wholeheartedly in the power of families and relationships. When our relationships are thriving we can feel at our best, but when there is tension, loss of trust, trouble communicating, or just something missing we can feel lost, angry, or hopeless.
