My additional training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) has carved out a trauma-informed lens for working with clients of all ages.

Depression and anxiety are commonplace for many. Mental and behavioral health struggles have only increased during the last few years and are having a major impact on marriages, young adults, our seniors, and in particular the youth in our communities.

My passion for therapy started with a desire to support teens dealing with self-harm, depression, and anxiety. As a therapist, I have also gained experience working with adults facing self-esteem issues, trauma, difficulties with setting boundaries, communication challenges in relationships, and a lack of personal identity and meaning. I aim to empower both groups to find stability and confidence in their strengths. In today's uncertain world, I strive to help clients find their footing and navigate their future. I also offer faith-based counseling at the client's discretion and have experience addressing religious trauma.

CaLm DoWn: Has anyone ever told you this before? I know, it really gets under my skin, too. Do I really need therapy? What's the point of sitting on a couch and talking with a stranger about my problems? I'm way too busy to be speaking with this guy for an hour anyway - - All of us have difficult moments in our lives that lead us to seek out therapy. Sadness can feel like it will never end. Anger is felt in our head, but we may feel judged by others for expressing it. If only there was a button we could press that would make us feel happiness. Though that magic button may not exist, we can work to create a new path together.
