I come from a holistic frame of mind and believe that one can regain balance of mind, body, and soul with just being open to the idea and process of change. In addition to traditional therapy, I also offer Equine Facilitated Learning sessions and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy sessions through Strides to Success as a way to support a more holistic healing.

I am an alumni of Indiana University, where I gained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Certificate in Clinical Psychology, and a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. I am trained in, and enjoy utilizing a variety of psychological theories to help families, teens, couples, and adults work through stressful events in life. I am EMDR certified and also utilize Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to address trauma. I am experienced in treating Major Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Trauma, Marriage and Family conflict, and working with teens and young adults. As a counselor and consultant for over 20 years, I have had the privilege to work with a variety of clients in diverse settings. My licenses and certifications also reflect a diverse background and experience as a Master Addictions Counselor (MAC), Family and Marriage Therapist (LMFT), Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Master Career Counselor (NCCC, MCC) and Employee Assistance Consultant (CEAP). The primary focus of my experience has been in family, marriage, career and substance abuse counseling. In general, I use an eclectic approach to counseling but tend to emphasize cognitive-behavioral and solution focus.

I have worked as a School Counselor and in private practice. I have worked with children and adults suffering from ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Self-Esteem Issues, and Substance Abuse concerns.
