William T. Zaffiro, Jr. has been in the field of mental health counseling for over 10 years. Earning his CDCA first in 2012, he has progressed towards being a clinical supervisor for both the Chemical Dependency Board and Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Competent in both group and individual care, he has worked with and trained professional counselors and students from CSU and John Carroll University. Bill focuses on clients that are suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions, spiritual struggles, identity issues, and major life transitions.

Whitney McSparran is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who specializes in working with young adults, adults, women, and LGBTQIA+ folks coping with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship issues, educational challenges, occupational problems, gender and sexuality-related issues, and the stress of everyday life. Whitney received her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Temple University and is licensed in both Ohio and Pennsylvania.

The people who come to see me for help get my compassion, understanding and good judgment. Often, what is required is someone to talk with, who will pay attention and listen objectively, and then communicate that understanding in a way that is helpful. I like to give my clients practical ideas that can help enhance the conduct of their lives. I also think that by talking things out with an experienced professional, my clients gain the courage to take control of their lives and make the (sometimes difficult) choices they know they need to make.

I am not able to accept new clients at this time. I feel honored working with individuals who are uncomfortable in their lives and need a safe place to talk. Some have anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorders or cancer. Some have to learn how to cope with shifts in their mental or physical health which bring challenges in their relationships and their abilities to enjoy their lives. Others are being confronted with bereavement, and grief or changes that are difficult for them to cope with alone. My approach is based on 20+ years of experience working in mental health and also in the hospital outpatient clinic.
