As a therapist, my first priority upon meeting with clients is to make them feel comfortable. Brief Therapy requires a highly collaborative approach between therapist and clients, and focuses on practical solutions and clear communication. Brief Therapy offers a maximum of 10 sessions but usually don't need that many to promote change in the problem that is presented. I work with individuals, couples and families with a variety of problems: marital conflict and affairs, depression and anxiety, children and adolescent problems, addiction, eating disorders, stress and work related problems. I hold a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Duke University and have over thirty years of clinical experience working with adults, children, and families.
