She has experience in doing this kind of work with people of all ages who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, family/relationship, and behavior issues. She has a passion for providing a space where people can truly be seen, heard, and understood. She works with individuals, couples, and families.

Welcome. I'm glad you made the decision to seek out help and begin the process of feeling better. For many, this first step is difficult. It's important to find a therapist who is a good match in terms of style and therapeutic approach. My style of therapy is a collaborative process in which we work together to identify what you want your life to be like and how best to make that happen. I work to provide a nonjudgmental space in which clients are better able to discuss difficult topics, keeping an open mind throughout the therapy process.

I offer a co-ed Relationship Group. Feel free to inquire more about how this kind of therapy can be quite useful. I do Individual, Couples, Family, and Group Therapy. I currently facilitate a Bereavement Group which meets at my Brookline office every Saturday from 2-4pm. I also run groups for substance abuse, depression and anxiety. In addition, I have a lot of experience counseling children of all ages. I am a firm believer in strength-based psychotherapy.

Philosophy is not simply an academic subject but an activity. Philosophical counseling is an alternative to psychological treatment in which the counselor and client explore the client's reasoning about the problems that have led him or her to seek therapy. Often we live by unexamined assumptions which we are unaware of making. These assumptions can keep us stuck by preventing inquiry into alternative perspectives. Identifying and critically examining our assumptions enables us to choose more consciously and live more confidently.

As a clinical sexologist and Certified Sex Therapist, I help folks explore pleasure and better communicate in intimate relationships. As a feminist therapist, I help clients dig deep to uncover their personal power, untangle anxiety and heal from trauma. I'm pro-choice, queer/bisexual identified, and welcome LGBTQ+ clients.
