Mindfulness is bringing presence and fullness to an experience. My goal is to bring this presence and aliveness to my sessions with my clients. Coming into the nervous system gently, with my guidance, allows for an opening. In that opening, rewiring of the brain can occur. Using EMDR, relational-psychodynamic therapy, and most recently Somatic Experiencing, there is a freshness and aliveness. I treat the gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgendered community for many years. My belief is that we are a team in the therapeutic endeavor. Since no one type of psychotherapy works with everyone, I vary the techniques, based on you.

I have been working with children and families for more than 25 years. My approach is strength based - I'm interested in helping you get results. My "wheelhouse" is working with children, families and adults who have experienced developmental trauma. I have an M.Ed in counseling (1992) from Umass Amherst and an MSW (2002) from Smith SSW.
