MarQuitia has experience in working with vast populations. MarQuitia is certified in Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She is currently only accepting clients ages 7 through 19, utilizing this therapeutic approach. Through this approach, MarQuitia will assist the individual and their family In learning more about trauma, it’s affects on the individual and the family , and processing and working through their trauma. MarQuitia’s approach to counseling is person-centered, trauma-focused and nonjudgemental, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy; while integrating talk therapy; therapy utilizing art, music, dance, and play; and incorporating individual’s interests and spiritual/holistic practices, all from a strengths-based approach.
