Many children teens, and young adults have adverse experiences and challenges that affect how they feel, act, or learn. These challenges may include trouble managing emotions which may lead to anger outbursts, difficulty making and keeping friends, managing peer pressure, maintaining good grades, juggling extracurriculars, and finding balance with social media. It can be an incredible time of growth and excitement, but it can also be overwhelming. Often, children and their families are left to navigate these challenges alone due to fear, stigma or lack of knowledge/accessibility to the care that they need.
I specialize in working with diverse populations which include children (5-10), teens (14-17), young adults and their families through play, art and cognitive therapies. This approach allows for healthy expression of emotions and the exploration and discovery of new, healthy skills for home, school and life. I also provide parent support and resources.
I believe in building an impactful and long-lasting professional counseling relationship with each client that I encounter. I want to create a supportive environment to address emotional well-being. I want you to feel heard and learn to express your feelings.
