My name is Marlin Marte and I am a dedicated clinician here to help you. Growing up as an Afro LatinX first-generation college student, I deeply understand the cultural struggles and barriers to accessing mental health support. This understanding drove me to be in this field and work with folks managing life challenges. Let's process whats been heavy.
Many of the individuals I have worked with have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, alongside navigating the unique developmental hurdles of their age group. As a trauma-informed Spanish speaking therapist, my passion is to provide culturally competent therapy to people of color. I prioritize creating a safe space where individuals can freely explore.
I have experience and knowledge using ACT to help individuals understand and manage these difficult emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, fostering self- awareness and self- compassion. My approach to counseling is centered around empowering individuals to develop skills needed to navigate challenges with confidence. Together we can work towards healing!
