I specialize in couples counseling utilizing Emotionally Focused Therapy. I love to help couples restore love and trust to their relationship no matter what the hurt is that has caused discord in the relationship. I also love to help couples that have a good relationship, deepen their emotional bond and become each other's best friend and soul mate.
I specialize in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT is a non-blaming therapy which means that we don't associate blame with any particular partner. Instead we focus on helping the couple to partner together and understand the deeper, more heart level, "under the water line" issues that are present.
Couples often have a negative cycle - a dance that seems the same no matter what the issue is. They just go round and round triggering each other in the argument. It doesn't matter if they are talking about money, sex or household tasks. EFT helps couples work together as a team to identify this cycle and de-escalate it thereby restoring safety.
