I have experience in treating clients with a variety of concerns, including self-esteem, coping, depression, anxiety, eating disorders and recovery from sexual, physical, spiritual or emotional abuse. My goal as a psychologist is to structure the therapy according to the individual needs and goals of my clients. Therapy provides a safe and supportive environment to work on treatment of mental health concerns, improve quality of life and relationships, strengthen self-esteem and coping skills. I like to work together with my clients to improve everyday functioning, reduce distress and enrich meaning in their lives.
I have specialized training in treatment of trauma and abuse, eating disorders, personality disorders and have taught professional training seminars in treatment of these concerns. I also have years of experience in treatment of a full range of mental health and relationship concerns. I use evidence based treatment strategies.
I have authored books, workshops and articles on a variety of concerns including families with children with disabilities, single adult relationships, recovering from abuse, and understanding eating disorders. I have specialized training in Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy and adapt the treatment to the client's needs.
