Hello! I'm Marla Minton, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. My approach starts with you. I will meet you where you are in your journey and together we will work toward healing. I use an eclectic approach of Solution Focused Strategies, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Rational Emotive Therapy. Counseling is my passion and I look forward to working with others to reach their maximum potential! I am a general practitioner and have worked with all types of clients. Currently I work mostly with older women and men, but am open to other populations, as well.
I am a calm person who listens well. We will make a plan and go at your pace to achieve your goals. I am told I am encouraging and supportive and create a relaxed atmosphere to address difficult issues. I wanted to become a therapist to help others. I come from a very caring and loving family who have helped me through some difficult times.
I have spent many years paying it forward by trying to help others. I always start with what you want to achieve. We will then make a realistic plan and set out to meet your goals. During our first meeting, we will be doing introductions and gathering information about you and developing a plan for your next sessions.
