About

I believe as one becomes more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and beliefs, they are better able to focus and honor their own individuality. To meet your unique needs we will explore personal influences and create new methods to address life and relationship dilemmas. My work involves exploring your personal strengths, resiliencies, and ambivalence about change while applying multiple strategies to achieve your goals. This may include an integrated counseling approach of cognitive-behavioral therapy, positive psychology, family systems, and reality therapies. Currently, I'm currently accepting new clients and I work with all ages.
I have over 20 years of mental health experience in clinical psychotherapy, alcohol and other drug treatment, sport and exercise psychology, performance and the movement arts, and mood and behavioral management. I use an innovative approach that includes cognitive work, relaxation techniques, mindfulness-based skills, and solution-oriented therapy.
I believe we can acquire new life skills, let go of problematic patterns, and discover how to live more authentically. Working together, we will help you identify new cognitive discoveries that will propel you towards your ideal behaviors improving performance while bringing balance, joy, and wellness into your life.

Mark Steven Wells's Groups

8 Hr. Day Class

Our classes utilize an evidence-based motivational prevention, intervention and pretreatment program specifically designed for adults, young adults, and teens that might be making high-risk choices and/or are involved in the legal system. It is designed to help individuals change drinking and drug use behaviors by changing beliefs, attitudes, risk perceptions, motivations, and it provides knowledge of how to reduce their risk of alcohol and drug related problems throughout their lives. The ultimate goal of our class is to prevent and reduce the number of accidents, injuries, deaths, and crimes caused by people who use alcohol and drugs.
