Although I have worked with a wide-range of people and problems throughout my career, I have become more focused lately on couples, families, and partners of all kinds. Whether it is conflict, a desire to separate, or just a desire to make things better, I work with people to help them with interpersonal issues they may have in the marriage, in the family, or at work. People who work with me appreciate that I am an author, an academic, and someone who believes strongly in the power of psychology to help them live better and more fulfilling lives. I also enjoy working with individuals who want to understand themselves better.
As a clinical psychologist, who has taught psychology at the graduate level, I have specialized in working with families and couples and people in systems. I have a particular interest in working with families who are in business together, whether these are multi-generational family businesses, siblings in partnership, or just couples who work together.
I have recently re-started my practice in Westchester County, based in White Plains, after years in academia. If desired, I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation to determine if working together would be a good fit for everyone involved. I almost always start with an assessment of the problem, followed by recommendations as to next steps.
