As a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist with training in EMDR, I carefully examine the relationships between thoughts, feelings and actions, while looking for faulty beliefs, patterns and themes. The concept behind CBT is that our thoughts affect how we feel (emotionally and physically) and how we behave. They shape our perceptions, beliefs and value systems.
As a therapist with over 40 years of experience, I believe the patient and therapist relationship is the foundation needed to provide a safe environment to help others develop healthier adaptive responses to life challenges.
