Life often contains unexpected and difficult challenges that lead to us grieving that life is not what we were hoping for or planned. These challenges can be situational or ongoing experiences. Whether it is the loss of a loved one, a significant life transition, relational struggles, questions of identity, persistent feelings of guilt, shame, or inadequacy, constant worries, or existential/spiritual doubts, we can be left feeling lost and unsure what to do next. When these occur it can be demoralizing and defeating, but also provide immense opportunity for growth. It is my goal to help each person navigate these times in life.
Therapy is a place to grieve and process these challenges as well as explore how to grow from difficult experiences, learn from our pain, and come to a place where we do not define ourselves by our perceived shortcomings, failures, or difficult experiences. I approach therapy as a collaborative process to help each individual to reach their goals and grow.
My hope is that as you share your story, therapy can assist in gaining understanding, clarity, and healing. The relationship between you and your therapist is vital to building trust and helping you feel comfortable sharing your story so that you can better understand how past experiences impact your current life, and set you up for a more fulfilling future.
