I work with individuals, families and couples struggling with anxiety, affective disorders, anger issues, father - son relationships, oppositional behaviors, gender and sexual identity issues and developmental issues. I focus on the communication within relationships with emphasis on one's feelings, thoughts and behaviors.
My approach to therapy involves assisting individuals to address their feelings, thinking and actions in ways their significant others can hear and understand them. I encourage patients to become aware of the communication process and practice foresight, insight and hindsight relative to their relationships.
A therapeutic and trust based relationship is earned and developed between the therapist and the patient. Sessions occur in a safe and comfortable environment.
