I would never have guessed years ago when I sought out therapy for my own struggles, that the road I would then travel would bring me all the way back around. The support I found provided solace and healing, and inspired me to dedicate my life to helping others achieve healing and change. Seeing others come out of their despair and struggle is what matters so much to me. Throughout my career I've worked in a variety of settings, including medical and mental health hospitals, intensive outpatient, and residential addiction treatment centers, employee assistance programs, and private practice.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I provide talk therapy, guided by mindfulness and acceptance based cognitive therapies (primarily Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). For trauma or abuse, I also provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (which can alleviate the suffering associated with PTSD).
What I believe in most is providing an attentive, compassionate space where clients can choose what they want from their session. I'm here to help, listen, and illuminate possible options that can make a difference.
