I use a psychodynamic approach with my clients, examining how our pasts influence our present selves. I also employ IFS to take a look at different parts of ourselves and how their influence is serving us (or not serving us). My goal is for my clients to be able to "see themselves coming" when triggering events occur, so they can build and maintain healthy relationships.

I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Internal Family Systems with my clients. The first few sessions I like to spend getting to know one another and have you help me understand what the presenting issues are. I find IFS to be very effective in treating Trauma and compulsive behaviors, so I tend to lean heavily on this modality.
