I look at therapy similarly to someone giving directions using a map. Tell me your destination. I'll show you all of the routes. I leave it up to you which to choose, however. I'm simply along to guide while you make the decisions. I have experience providing therapy to adolescents, young adults, and adults. I have a strong background in treating severe depression, anxiety, substance abuse, behavioral issues, self-injurious behavior, social anxiety, and poor self esteem. I also conduct family and couples counseling aiding in resolving conflict and improving communication skills.
I approach counseling from a person-centered perspective. The goal of this approach is to provide clients with an opportunity to develop a sense of self wherein they can realize how their attitudes, feelings and behavior are being negatively affected and make an effort to find their true positive potential.
I have afternoon and night appointments available. My office is located on the Mandeville/Covington border next to Lakeview Hospital.
