That is why I use a collaborative, non-judgmental approach during the course of therapy. My work begins with listening to my clients with compassion. My experience includes working as a therapist in a clinical setting where I treat clients who have experienced symptoms that range from mild depression and anxiety, to trauma and PTSD. One treatment approach may include EMDR. My clients tell me that I help make the therapeutic process easier by understanding their pain, while giving them hope.
When we suffer from relationship discord, it impacts more than ourselves. It affects those who care about us most. I help clients understand the many factors that come into play when a relationship is in jeapardy. Increased awareness leads to a lessoning of pain and a greater sense of confidence.

Groups
Empty nesters
Women often experience feelings of loss, anxiety and depression once their adult children have left home. It is not unusual to notice a void once children have moved on. Without realizing it, over the course of many years, children often prevent feelings of isolation and emptiness from cropping up. A group setting can help women who are experiencing the empty nest feel supported and validated. Each week a new issue will be addressed in a collaborative way. The group will be run by two Licensed Clinical Social Workers who understands the array of feelings one might experience.
