Hello, my name is Maritza Valdez and I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) working with clients throughout California. I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief/loss, medical illnesses, caregiving challenges, and substance use/addiction. I focus on using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I have experience working with adults who are experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I have worked extensively in a hospital setting providing therapy services to medically ill individuals and their families. I have worked in palliative care and provided grief and loss therapy.
