Hi! I am Maritza Rivera. I completed a Master of Arts degree in Couples & Family Therapy from the California School of Profession Psychology in Irvine, California. I am licensed in California with nearly five years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress, depression, anxiety, LGBTQIA+ related issues, & motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. I also have experience working with coping with life changes/phases of life issues.
My clinical lens/approach is client-centered. I implement several modalities including CBT, DBT, and Solution Focused.
I have nearly 17 years of experience in the medical field. I decided to narrow my focus and become an LMFT. I truly believe this work is sacred. Becoming a therapist resonated with me because I am continuously learning & inspired by the human spirit. I am often in awe because of my client's resilience.
