Hi, my name is Maritza Del Rio. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My approach is a mindful one, in which I help clients explore their internal thoughts and emotions and guide them so they can have greater self-awareness and make healthier conscious choices. Clients who work with me tend to need support to break out of negative patterns, have a better understanding of themselves, have a need to find purpose in their life, be able to engage and have healthy relationships, and have a desire to achieve a higher quality of life.
I tend to work with individuals whose symptoms are around anxiety, depression, personality disorders, and/or those grieving. I specialized in grief and loss, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
I actively listen as my clients speak about their vulnerabilities and challenges, with compassion and empathy. I also actively engage with my clients and jointly we explore further insight and information that can lead to creating new skills that are tailored to the needs of my clients and essentially can benefit and improve their life.
