Phil has been in private practice settings for over 20 years. His work is primarily in couples therapy across the continuum of their relationship, but also sees families, individual adults and adolescents. He enjoys bringing humor to the setting and is active with clients in challenging their thinking and behavior and truly enjoys working with couples across the continuum of their relationships. Phil also works with establishing/re-establishing good communication skills in order to reduce the possibility of conflict and increasing satisfaction in couple's relationships.

Dr. Pitkow earned her Master’s Degree and her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from Immaculata University. She has a diverse background having worked with outpatient, inpatient, substance abuse and dual diagnosis populations. In addition to working in the field for close to 20 years, Dr. Pitkow brings essential life experiences to the work. Dr. Pitkow believes that the most important aspect of therapy is the relationship established between the client and the therapist, without which very little is accomplished. To that end she aims to create a safe and warm environment where the relationship can develop.

We ask questions about your health history, what you eat, how you move, your coping strategies, your family systems, and your medications in order to best determine the correct path. We rule out any physical issues first and refer you to a physician if necessary. We then look at how your lifestyle choices are influencing how you feel. We examine your thought patterns to engrain positivity. Developing a plan for how you comfort and console yourself within your belief system can also be part of the process. All of our Lehigh Valley counselors do psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) along with other forms of therapy.

I offer my clients a safe, comfortable atmosphere in which to process difficulties/concerns they are currently experiencing. I believe in taking all aspects of a person's life into consideration when planning treatment. I work with my clients to plan an approach to change and empowerment that is tailored to meet their personality, background experiences, and goals. I look for strengths my clients already possess and build upon them, also taking into consideration areas in their lives they believe need healing and development. I assist my clients in working at a pace that is right and comfortable for then.

I believe my non-judgmental and warm demeanor allows people to feel at ease and more willing to share issues that lead them to seek counsel. While I am trained in counseling theories and techniques, I believe using the Bible as the fundamental guide in exploring the emotions that often paralyze our daily lives and relationships. Self reflection, forgiveness, effective communications, healthy boundaries and expectations all play a role in finding a sense of peace within ourselves and our relationships.

I am a licensed clinical social worker and received my Master's degree in Social Work from Millersville University in 2009.  I have been providing group, individual, and family therapy for ten years and have a passion for helping people to reach their desired goals.  I utilize a strengths based approach and view therapy as a collaborative relationship in which the person is able to explore and learn more about themselves.

Hayley Roverana is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania. Hayley has 4 years of experience working with adolescents and adults seeking help for anxiety, depression, domestic violence, substance use disorders, and other issues. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from East Stroudsburg University and her Masters of Science in Social Work from Marywood University.

Brandon Ballantyne is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in the treatment of anxiety and depression. He is board certified through the National Board of Certified Counselors. Brandon has advanced credentials in the area of treatment planning and ethical decision making. He received a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Alvernia University in 2011. He has been featured in Counseling Today for his development of CBT related therapy interventions and exercises.
