Welcome! My name is Marissa Seder, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Poconos in Northeast Pennsylvania. Whether you are working through anxiety, relationship or sexual concerns, family conflict, or grief and loss, I am here to provide you with a compassionate environment to explore all areas that make you who you are. I base much of my work in a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approach, while also utilizing solution-focused therapy, mindfulness and client-centered therapy throughout based your needs. As we work toward your goals, you may receive activities to explore or practice outside of sessions.
These activities can help you define areas to address or to solidify change. I have specialized training in trauma, neurodiversity, and behavior disorders. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings including telehealth, in-home, community, and group homes.
Being in the helping profession was an interest that began when I was young. I have always been drawn to others' life paths, talking through decisions and options, and navigating difficult times as well as those that are joyous. Providing a supportive environment for growth, trust, and exploration holds high value in my life and my work.
