My name is Marissa. I am a licensed counselor in AZ, FL, WA, and CT. I guide clients to gain insight, clarity, and practical solutions to better navigate life. Together, we will explore finding a balance between feeling peaceful, living passionately, and having a sense of purpose. My approach is based on the belief that the quality of your life can be improved by focusing not only on your mind but your body and soul as well. Nothing changes if nothing changes. My purpose is to provide a relaxed, empathetic, trusting environment for you to feel at ease in asking for things to change.
I see clients for a wide variety of issues. My practice is currently focused on anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, life transitions, difficulty dealing with change. I do NOT see clients under the age of 21, and I am not certified to see clients for any type of addiction.
I have a relaxed approach. My style is more conversational, comfortable, and down-to-earth. I refer to clients as 'clients,' not 'patients.' I am an advocate for using humor when appropriate, and I want my clients to feel they are active participants in the process and it is not one-sided.
