Hi there, I'm Marissa! My main goal is to make sure you are comfortable and feel as comfortable as you can while discussing uncomfortable things. Therapy is a big step, and I am glad you are considering it. I am very straightforward, but empathetic and very open-minded. I strive to make my clients feel understood, heard, and not judged. I do not necessarily sugar coat things, but I am one of the most laid-back people you may meet.
My ideal client is someone who struggles with feeling understood by their family or peers due to their lifestyle, traumas, or choices. Having that unbiased perspective is helpful in so many ways. I want to help my client with those "lightbulb" moments. Never telling you "what" to do, but helping you identify your true feelings, and weigh the options as well.
I am very friendly and laid back, I will communicate with you very professionally, or more laid back if that's what you prefer. You can feel free to communicate what makes you most comfortable.
