Marissa Carpenter, LCSW provides outpatient psychotherapy services that are grounded in a strength-based healing philosophy focused on restoration of the child and their family following traumatic life events. Marissa Carpenter provides outpatient psychotherapy to children 0-18 years of age and their family dealing with sudden life transitions and trauma related issues such as: grief and loss, sexual or physical abuse, abandonment and emotional abuse and neglect, foster care placement, adoption, and high conflict custody and visitation disputes related to separation and divorce.
Marissa Carpenter has advanced training and experience using the following evidence-based treatment modalities: Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) - For children 0- 6 years of age and their family who have experienced trauma. Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) - For children 3-18 years of age and their family who have experienced trauma.
