I’m a therapist with over 10 years in direct practice and 19 years in the social service industry. My specialties are in trauma and relationships, and I am experienced in working with various populations on a variety of issues. Therapy is not a “one-size-fits-all” venture but one that requires an understanding of the person as a whole and then the ability to pull from a variety of modalities to help guide the person in their journey. I utilize “Person-Centered” frameworks in a collection of evidence-based cognitive approaches dependent on the issue(s) we want to work on. Some of the modalities are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and psychoeducation.
I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with you as an empathetic partner.
