Hello! And thank you for considering me to be your partner on your journey to wholeness and improvement. Congratulations on taking that pivotal first step to reach out for help. My name is Marisa Montes and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have extensive experience in helping people who are at a crossroads and unsure of what their next steps will be. Many of those I have successfully worked with have gone through experiences that have marked them and left them reeling. In my practice, I use a variety of evidence based therapeutic techniques to equip clients to live life successfully and confront their challenges head on.
In a first session, I want to get to know you. I want to know what important experiences your have lived in your life that brought our paths to cross today. I approach my clients with compassion and open-mindedness and want to establish a warm environment where you feel open to trusting me with your vulnerabilities.
Clients report feeling compassion and empathy from me when working together. They also admit that my approach includes challenging their perceptions and behaviors to help them uncover self-imposed barriers that are not serving them. My aim is to develop practical strategies with clients that will help them feel better and achieve their goals.
