Reaching out and asking for help is an incredible show of strength. I understand that, and I want to help you become happier and healthier. This process is not always easy - but the benefits are real. I truly care about my patients and their success. A large part of my practice focuses on eating disorders, body image, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I work with men and women of all ages, frequently students at area universities. Most frequently, my patients goals include gaining insight and coping skills to manage life's stressors.
Together, we will explore areas in your life that are working well and that are problematic. Then we will identify behavioral and thought patterns. Using evidence based approaches, we will find healthier ways to approach life. You can count on me to walk with you through this.
Prior to opening a private practice, I provided therapy at an inpatient eating disorder treatment center and at a residential substance abuse facility. This experience helps me collaborate, when appropriate, with patients, their families, psychiatrists, and dietitians.
