Hello my name is Yessica McLean and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of CT. In my practice, Mariposa Counseling LLC, I offer individual therapy to young adults and adults who are experiencing some challenges in their life and looking to create positive change. I’m passionate about supporting other’s through their healing journey.
I have worked in multiple mental health settings providing individual, family and group therapy. My current focus is on providing individual therapy to college students, adults and working professionals. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral therapy, positive psychology, family system dynamics, cultural competence and I'm trauma informed.
Experience in treating depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, mood dysregulation, ADHD, relationship issues, and trauma related disorders. As a therapist who utilizes a holistic approach, my goal is to understand the individual’s environment, experiences and resources to better inform and customize treatment goals that meet the individual’s needs.
