I am a licensed therapist. I approach my therapeutic process with my client's best interest as the priority. I focus on my client's total wellbeing and empowerment. My client focus is for the client to develop and manage healthier skills for processing the experiences in their lives. I communicate best when I can directly express my thoughts and when my client is safe to share their thoughts, feelings and experiences with me.
I became a therapist because I have a very ingrained need to help others be the best versions of themselves. This need was inspired in me by my late maternal grandmother as I watched her be a beloved elder in my community and seeing her help others feel better about their lives.
I insist on my client being a active participant in setting their own goals for their treatment. I believe that when clients have more influence in establishing the goals of our work together, they are more invested in the work and usually take more ownership of the results.
