In my practice I emulate the philosophy of the old masters who believed that during the therapeutic process the client and the therapist affect, teach, change and learn from each another. Therefore, I view the development of a therapeutic relationship as the most important ingredient of successful counseling.
I have been involved in 12-step programs for 3 decades, working with alcoholism and substance abuse. I work with children (10 or older) and adolescents with behavioral and learning difficulties. I bring with me a wealth of experience from two continents as an immigrant; I speak Spanish, Italian, Croatian.
