I take a compassionate, collaborative approach to supporting new moms, women, and couples. So many moms struggle with postpartum anxiety, depression, and sheer overwhelm at the relentlessness of motherhood and the loss of self-determination in their new life. I help new(ish) moms find compassion where they feel like a failure, value their needs, and find ways to feel like “themselves” again. I also work with intelligent, self-aware women who struggle with anxiety, depression, and self-doubt, and support them in finding calm, center, and self-trust through life's transitions, and to become their own radical ally and best friend.
I also support couples who feel like strangers to each other more than friends, whose communication has gone down the tubes, and who dread the next interaction because of the amount of tension between them. With a focus on empathy, mindfulness, and skill-building, I help couples rekindle partnership, mutual trust, and empowerment in their communication.
As a mom myself, marriage therapist, and Certified Nonviolent Communication (NVC) Trainer, I've supported countless women, moms, and couples in becoming better allies to themselves and each other, able to advocate for their needs, and to build honest, authentic, connecting relationships. NOW FORMING. Rebirthing Ourselves: New(ish) Mama Therapy Group. Join us for a safe, supportive space to explore the impact of new parenthood in these first few years upon our sense of self, our bodies, our relationships, our dreams, and our sense of power and efficacy in this world. 6 moms, 6 Fridays, 10-11:30am. Dates TBD. Once a minimum of 6 moms are interested, we can begin!
