It can be challenging to know if your child would benefit from therapy or if another service may be more appropriate. My approach in working with your child & family is unique & individualized to fit you and your child's needs. I will assess early on (& along the way) if there is a true readiness for therapy or assist you in a referral process if I think your child could benefit from an additional service, such as a formal evaluation, Occupational Therapy, etc. I incorporate caregivers in the process through parent coaching sessions, regular check-ins, & options to include parents in session in order to facilitate conversation.

Although my style is collaborative & supportive, you can expect that I will be direct & educational when addressing issues & professional recommendations. I utilize a variety of modalities, such as play therapy, expressive art therapy, & traditional talk therapy to name a few!

It is important to me that we take it slow & allow for a therapeutic relationship with a foundation of trust to build in the beginning stages - sessions will be client-led with guidance & encouragement from me along the way.
