I want to work with individuals and couples who are motivated to go on a journey of self exploration to arrive at the destination of greater understanding of themselves and their behavior. I believe that the most important factor in this journey is the relationship between myself and my client(s). Creating a safe, nonjudgemental atmosphere is my priority as it is crucial to undertake such a journey. I use a broad variety of skills and techniques so that I can tailor the therapeutic process to each individual or couple.
I am EMDR certified and have close to twenty years of experience in treating individuals/couples with a variety of trauma experiences. I have extensive training on working with addictions and how they impact all family members, on couples in conflict, depression and anxiety issues.
I care about my clients and I am energetic and passionate about what I do, but also acknowledge the value of humor. I work in an old refurbished Victorian which has a very homey feel. I often have my dog with me--many clients say this is soothing to them!
