About
In two decades of practice, I have worked with people across the life span: children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I use an integrative approach to maximize the happiness of my client, including cognitive behavioral therapy, family therapy with children and teens, and mindfulness. I help clients draw from their own strengths to take action to achieve their goals. I help couples find strategies to improve communication, restore intimacy to their relationship, and resolve conflicts before they escalate. I help individual clients restore balance in their lives to deal with anxiety and depression.
Sometimes anxiety, depression, or loneliness stall us along life's journey. If you feel overwhelmed and paralyzed by your situation, I can help. I have a holistic approach using current treatment methods to help each client find peace and happiness in a warm, supportive environment. I focus more on finding solutions rather than on diagnosing disorders.
I have been married for 41 years and have 3 grown children including identical twins. I have a B.A. and PhD from the University of Chicago and served as a post-doctoral fellow at the Hastings Center for Bioethics. I get to know my clients as people and tailor-make my approach for each individual client. In 2020, I won two awards for excellence as a therapist
