Not accepting new clients
Just as our immune system is designed to protect our physical health, our mind is designed to cope with stress and protect our mental health. But when life’s pressures becomes too great, we may develop negative patterns of thought or behavior that causes us even further distress. To help my clients heal from emotional wounds and develop better coping strategies, I use cognitive-behavioral techniques, psychodynamic exploration, and EMDR, in an atmosphere of non-judgmental support. With increased self-awareness and support for positive risk-taking, clients are empowered to live life more joyfully.
Psychotherapy is a partnership created to relieve suffering and promote effective living. To this joint endeavor the client brings courage and honesty; I bring an abiding interest in human nature, a heartfelt desire to help, and an appreciation of the resiliancy of the human spirt.
I encourage my clients to seek treatments that work with and enhance the body's natural mechanisms for stress management. This approach improves general health and builds self-confidence.
